They first acquired two outboard boats: Zippy and Zappy and began by offering boat trips from Belize City to the islands of San Pedro and Caye Caulker. 

Ramón became involved in the pioneering and formation of a first boat operators association that would travel between Belize City and the islands assuring travelers with an efficient service. 

With the arrival of the first cruise ships to Belize City, they both became involved in transport of visitors from the ship to the mainland, offering as well sea and inland tours.

The next phase of growth led to representation alliances with diverse bus companies from the region, such as Fuente del Norte, Maya del Oro, Línea Dorada, ADO, Marlin Espadas and others traveling through Belize from Mexico and Guatemala. 

Throughout the years (since 1990) they have assisted thousands of world travelers, under various associated business names: Mundo Maya Travels, Mundo Maya Deli, and River Side Delights.
